Homeless World Cup

I was listening to Triple j this afternoon as I drove home from work, and who did they have come on but a homeless guy who is about to head over to Copenhagen Denmark for the Homeless World Cup where the Street Socceroos will play along with more than 45 other nations in Street Football. It will be the 5th of the annual tornament that is set to make it to Melbourne in 2008. The Australian team is backed by The Big Issue Australia, and has teams who train in most capital cities as well as some rural centres like Ballarat one of my old stomping grounds. Go the Street Socceroos, I think I will have to follow their progress.
